🏆 tstens2 def. rernstes75 · 19th hole · Round of 64 · Ubsey Golf Par 3 Shootout
tstens2 needed every bit of 19 holes to get past Bobo in the Round of 64 at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure - Bald Mountain, closing it out on the extra hole after the match couldn't be settled in regulation. Bobo actually grabbed the early control, building a 3 holes down lead through 5, but tstens2 chipped away all day, trading blows on the front before finding a groove late with a two hole run from 12 through 13. The back nine was tight to the finish, with two halved holes down the stretch before tstens2 finally sealed it on 19.
It was a bounce back example of why nothing is settled until the last putt falls, especially with 80 percent of the 20 pickers correctly backing tstens2 before the match. tstens2 advances to the Round of 32, while Bobo drops to the losers bracket and is still alive in the tournament.
