Stalc Chubs put together the kind of front nine that ends matches early, and it very nearly did. After dropping the first hole to Squat Sticks, StalcupFarms13 and Chubsy reeled off five straight wins from hole 3 through hole 7, turning a 1 down deficit into total control. That surge, paired with a strong 6-1-2 front nine split, gave Stalc Chubs all the cushion they needed at Deer Track Golf Club.
The back nine was mostly a formality, with Stalc Chubs closing it out 6&5 after 13 holes. Squat Sticks drops to the losers bracket and is still alive in the tournament, while Stalc Chubs move on to the Quarterfinal. With picks split close to even at 47 percent on the winner, this one was no sure thing on paper, but Stalc Chubs made sure it didn't stay that way for long.
