Barber's Ida needed every extra hole they could get, finally closing out Rob's Caddy on the 20th in a Quarterfinal battle at Muskoka Bay Club that went right down to the wire. The match was knotted up with nine halved holes across the two nines, and Barber's Ida even had to claw back from two down after five. Only 39 percent of the field picked them, but mtownbarber and IdaGolf backed up the upset with a strong push through 9 and 10 before trading blows the rest of the way.
The finish was pure grind: a win, a halve, and one more win over the last three holes to finally seal it. Rob's Caddy will feel this one, but the story isn't over, they drop to the losers bracket and remain alive in the tournament. Barber's Ida, meanwhile, moves on to the Semifinal having earned every inch of this one.
