Grip N Bryzz was the story of the week in the 2026 Summer Jam, and not by a little. The club opened with a 4&2 win over Flyin' Harkers in the Round of 16, a result that just 22 percent of the clubhouse saw coming. Then, in the Quarterfinal, Grip N Bryzz turned around and knocked off Matt's Triple Bogeys 3&2 in a result nobody picked. Zero percent of the field had Grip N Bryzz winning that one. Two rounds, two upsets, and suddenly Grip N Bryzz is a team nobody wants to see across the fairway.
The losers bracket had its own fireworks. Fairway Crushers pulled off a 4&2 win over Abominable Tomatts that only 9 percent of pick'em voters called, while The Basig CBs handled Chubsy Idaho 2&1 as an even bigger long shot at 10 percent. Kobsey Crew held serve over Saucy Sandbaggers 2 up, and U-No-It Squatters took care of Dicker & Stice 2&1 as the modest favorite. All told, six results were covered this week in the Summer Jam, and four teams saw their tournament end, part of a field that now sits at 16 teams alive out of 22 total entrants.
Up top in the season long pick'em race, The1TopDawg and YetiG08 are locked together at 55 points apiece, with The1TopDawg sitting 5-5 and YetiG08 running a tidier 4-2. MDGolfs sits third at 45 points. Fifty four picks were made across the league this week.
Next week, the Summer Jam rolls on with MD's Hosel Rockets taking on Lefty's Garbage Garage in a Quarterfinal on Tuesday. Beezy McPickle meets Kilroy Was Sads in another Quarterfinal still searching for a day. In the losers bracket, The Adjontys face JLew & The Tombots, Flyin' Harkers get another shot against Childish Lowbino, and Big Dog Chris squares off with Fairway Crushers, all still awaiting a time.
