🗞️ The Weekly Wrap · Week of Sep 20
The 2026 Fall Classic kept its double elimination grind rolling this week, and the headline result came in the Losers Round 3, where Scotty Sauce dispatched Singing Sticks 4&3. It was not a stunner on paper, with 63 percent of the 19 pick'em voters riding with Scotty Sauce, but a clean 4&3 scoreline sends a message all the same. Singing Sticks now joins the group navigating life on the wrong side of the bracket, a reminder of how unforgiving this format can be even for teams that are still, technically, alive.
Elsewhere, the Final delivered exactly the kind of drama a title match should. Stalc Chubs held off Gorilla Gypsy 2 up in a streamed showdown that drew 9 pick'em votes, 67 percent of them backing Stalc Chubs. Chalk held in that one, but a 2 up margin in a Final is never a formality, and Gorilla Gypsy made them work for it.
Across the 2026 Fall Classic, 32 teams remain in the season to date count, with 11 still alive as the field keeps thinning. This week's two covered results did not close the door on either side just yet, but the margin for error in the losers bracket keeps shrinking fast.
In the season long pick'em race, Triple Bogey sits atop the standings with 480 points and a 42-34 record, just ahead of MD Golfs and The1TopDawg, who are tied at 425 points apiece. Twenty eight picks were logged around the league this week as the chase for bragging rights continues.
Looking ahead, the 2026 Fall Classic continues with Yaks and Whiskey taking on Mattjak Attack in Losers Round 3, while Losers Round 4 will see Doylson's Law meet Scotty Sauce. Neither matchup has a day locked in yet, so keep an eye out for scheduling.
