🗞️ The Weekly Wrap · Week of Oct 11
The biggest upset of the week came in the Losers Round 2 of the Ubsey Golf Par 3 Shootout, where AdamH knocked off Selz87 by a score of 2&1. Only 14 percent of the clubhouse saw it coming, making it the most lopsided surprise on the board this week, and it headlines a Losers Round 2 that turned into the week's main event.
That round produced plenty of drama beyond the lead story. Pmart edged Ubsey 5&4 as a slight underdog at 38 percent, and Leedaddy23 pulled off an even bigger shock over MattsGolf, winning 4&3 despite just 21 percent of picks. On the other end, LeftyMurph handled LeftSticks 2&1 with the entire field behind him, and CDickerson needed 22 holes to get past Dunndeal1020 but did so as the heavy favorite.
Up in the Winners bracket, trplbgy cruised past basigman12 3&2 as expected, while ZonaEJ83 needed a 23rd hole to shake DarylDoylson. scotty4611, by contrast, pulled the upset at Winners Round 3, outlasting Stubbymcpickle on the 19th hole despite sitting at just 33 percent. None of the week's twelve results covered sent anyone home for good, with the Ubsey Golf Par 3 Shootout still carrying 41 of its 64 players forward.
In the season long pick'em race, Triple Bogey holds the top spot with 935 points, just ahead of MD Golfs at 915, with The1TopDawg sitting third at 835.
Next week brings a loaded slate, with MDGolfs taking on Chubsy and StalcupFarms13 facing ChrisGolf on Monday, Bravos99 meeting Gropper on Tuesday, and a rematch brewing in the Winners Quarterfinal as ZonaEJ83 draws trplbgy. The czxzt versus Taylorstour clash is still searching for a day on the calendar.
